Postie worked great out of the box to process our church’s emails sent through Constant Contact and turn them into blogs. (I added the special email address to the all-church contact list.) However, while the blog posts look great on larger devices, they are not properly resizing and are unreadable on a mobile device in portrait mode–only half the text shows, and it won’t scroll horizontally. (Even on a mobile, if you switch to landscape mode they are readable, but we figure a lot of mobile users wouldn’t think to do that. Our testers didn’t initially.) We are looking for advice about how to fix this. Happy to buy an add-on if we know which one or to ask for a quote from the developer for custom work. I am a WordPress-experienced volunteer but not a programmer. The site as a whole is developed by a paid web developer who supervises and checks all plug-ins or programming to make sure they don’t break the site.

Likely this is due to your theme interacting with the email formatting. I see that one of the tables has a fixed width of 620 pixels.

FYI further investigation reveals that the problem is in what Constant Contact sends out. I don’t read HTML and CSS well, but as far as I can tell, CC sends out max-width 480 and I have demonstrated on multiple platforms that the resizing problem happens with the original emails in email clients and browsers before they go through Postie to our website. This problem gets overridden in the emails themselves with special code for one column mobiles but that special code for mobiles isn’t preserved after the html is posted to the website. Not sure there is anything to do about this but if you have suggestions or believe you could deal with it in custom work or an add-on, we’d like to know.

Realizing that anybody who wants to help diagnose this would want to see the Constant Contact email. I should have included it above. This is an example of what the email looks like BEFORE Postie sees it
