To Whom It May Concern,

I noticed that in the WP backend under the settings tab for Limit Login Attempts Reloaded plugin version 2.13.0 (i.e. the latest one), I’m getting errors in the browser console.

These errors look benign as they appear to attempt to grab images or icons from a path that doesn’t appear to be valid (or those particular images don’t exist), but they also appear to have something to do with the refactoring of the backend that was stated in the revision notes.

Nevertheless, it makes me uncomfortable to update the plugin into something that introduces errors while the version I’m currently using 2.12.3 does not have this problem.

So I’m hoping that this issue can be addressed to make it safe to update the plugin.

Hi, are you still having the issue? Please try to delete the plugin completely and then install it again.

Hi,

I have deleted the plugin and did a fresh install of version 2.14.0 on my staging site.

The errors still persist when I go to the “Settings” tab in the backend.

I still use version 2.12.3 on the production site which doesn’t have this problem.

Not sure if this extra data point is relevant, but I did have a similar issue with WP Review Lite and it went away when they recently updated their plugin.

So this makes me believe that this is contained to the Limit Login Attempts Reloaded plugin’s backend refactoring.

Hi,

I recently updated to Limit Login Attempts Reloaded version 2.15.1.

The console error I’m getting when I go to the “Settings” tab in the backend is now the following:

jquery-ui.css:1 GET https://www.world-of-waterfalls.com/wp-content/plugins/limit-login-attempts-reloaded/assets/css/images/ui-bg_glass_75_e6e6e6_1x400.png 404

jquery-ui.css:1 GET https://www.world-of-waterfalls.com/wp-content/plugins/limit-login-attempts-reloaded/assets/css/images/ui-bg_glass_75_dadada_1x400.png 404

They appear to be benign so I went ahead and pushed this update to production from version 2.12.3 (which didn’t have this problem). However, I was wondering if you will clean this up?
