    Hello –

This past week I have found multiple errors coming from this plugin that is causing severe conflicts with other plugins. I extensively ran through multiple tests and have narrowed it down to the issue being this plugin and it’s conflict with Visual Composer.

The errors are coming from: wp-seo-post-scraper-460.min.js

    https://screencast.com/t/YwDHamCdZe

This is on a brand new clean install with just the following plugins:

    Visual Composer 5.1.1
    Templatera 1.1.2
    Yoast 4.6

Can you please look into this as it is effecting a few projects of ours. If there is no resolution then we have no other choice but to starting looking at alternatives.

    Thanks

  • Visual Composer breaks a lot of things, unfortunately, so you might want to post something on their support forum as Yoast has far more installs than VC.

If you think it’s an actual bug, you need to post on Github per the help info here.

Also, company not super concerned with whether you use their free plugin or not. Not all WP plugins work with all themes, or other plugins due to conflicts in javascript or style classes or conflicting admin panel changes.

That being said, check the github repo to see if bug already reported and check VC forum for possible fixes.

    (I don’t work here.)

A ticket has been submitted to the WPBakery team as well and they too are looking into the issue. I did some testing by installing All-In-One SEO & The SEO Framework plugins, and no issues, only when Yoast is installed.

I get that everything is different, and not everything plays nicely together, but VC is a popular paid page builder plugin, and comes with a ton of paid themes as well, so compatibility issues should be a concern for both parties.

Also, I had already checked Github before posting here as well. I am awaiting a response from WPBakery before submitted an issue there.
