Console Errors in WordPress 5.8
-
I’ve been testing out WordPress 5.8 on a local version of a client site, and ran into some JS console errors that seem to be tied to Advanced Editor Tools. They appear every time I go into the block editor, whether it’s a new or existing page.
Format "core/code" is already registered. rich-text.min.js:2:12777 Format "core/strikethrough" is already registered. rich-text.min.js:2:12777 Format "core/underline" is already registered. rich-text.min.js:2:12777 Format "core/subscript" is already registered. rich-text.min.js:2:12777 Format "core/superscript" is already registered. rich-text.min.js:2:12777
After doing some troubleshooting, it appears that the errors require both Advanced Editor Tools 5.6.0 and Gravity Forms 2.5.7 to be active. If I deactivate either plugin, the console is clean.
I also tried swapping out my custom theme for Twenty Twenty and the errors persisted.
Not sure if this is perhaps just something with my setup, but I wanted to pass it along just in case it’s a legitimate conflict.
EDIT: I can confirm the errors appear on a clean install, with only Advanced Editor Tools and Gravity Forms active.
