• Hello,

After updating WordPress to 5.5 I can no longer edit any sliders. When I try to edit it, I get the following mesage “loading data..” and then nothing happens.

If I use the browser console to check this I get the following errors:

Uncaught ReferenceError: __MSP_SLIDER_ALIAS is not defined
    /master-slider/admin/views/slider-panel/js/masterslider.wp.js?ver=3.5.8:9

Uncaught Error: There is no route named settings
    Ember 7

Uncaught ReferenceError: __MS_EDITOR is not defined
    /master-slider/admin/assets/js/mce-plugin.js?wp-mce-49100-20200624:6
    /master-slider/admin/assets/js/mce-plugin.js?wp-mce-49100-20200624:35

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    LB

  • Following topic – mine is doing the same thing.

Same issue here, After updating WP 5.5 Masterslider plugin started breking the page. I changed the PHP from 7.3. down to 5.6 and than it seemed to be working fine but as soon as i am on 7.3.1 or higher which 7.4.4 now the plugn breaks the page.

As soon as i activate this is the message i get:
`The plugin generated 402 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Hope you guys will be able to fix it soon thanks.

@bjornproductionsinc Thanks for the tip. I will give this a try. As i followed your link it seems to have created a temporary fix for some.

This is the message i am getting as soon as i reactivate masterslider after installing ( Enable jQuery Migrate Helper )

jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered

This page generated the following warnings:

jQuery is not compatible with Quirks Mode

Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update.

This is driving me nuts. I am only just learning WP, had a nice little site going, and after the 5.5 update I get this and a lot of my sections have disapeared. But I can still edit and save in Elementor but they dont update to the website. I have cleared all cache and restored a previous version but still nothing…
I really appreciate any thoughts in laymans terms:)
