• I am using ManageWP to monitor our clients uptimes/downtimes. Each week, there are a handful of our clients’ sites that consistently experience a 2 minute downtime due to either “Read Time Out” or “Bad Gateway”.

As far as I know, it’s not a hosting site issue. All of the sites are also on the latest PHP version and have a valid SSL.

I’m thinking it might be a common plugin, but there’s so many to test. Here are the common plugins across the affect client sites:

    Monarch Plugin
    SG Optimizer
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    Wordfence Security
    Yoast SEO
    Smush
    Bloom

Is there anyone else who is experiencing this same issue? And if so, can you share on how you managed to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

Would these times happen to conincide with an updraft backup? I could see that pushing a server to the limit, especially if serveral backups are running on the same server at the same time. If not, it’s probably some sort of maintenance on the host; you should check with them.

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately the downtime events do not coincide with UpDraft backup times.

Intermittent stuff is usually a server issue, so try contacting your host. Give them some times when your site was gone and ask them to check their logs.
