Considering purchase… will UMM do this?

Long story short, I have a membership site through which I sell content and I would like to limit user actions based on their plan balance.
I have 4 plan levels each awarding a certain number of credits per month (would need to refill those every 30 days after registration). I have 12 forms propagating via shortcode (there is no simple way for me to edit their links – using Formidable and N-Media front-end). I would like to charge a certain number of credits for submitting the form based on which form it is. I would also like to allow purchase of credits (I would probably do this through EDD or just my PayPal button).
I’ve gained a sense of some of the code I would need to put together to have UMM perform this functionality, but I don’t want to edit plugin files or anything hard – every time I update I will have to do it again. Unless, of course, there is some way to create this functionality without modifying hard code.
