• I tried to add a new consent id, so I entered it in the Consents section, hit [Add Consent] and the page returned telling the changes very saved, but nothing changed.

Eventually, I figured out what the problem was. [Add Consent] UI functionality of GDPR was blocked by ublock (ad blocker). Once I disabled ublock on that page it worked.

To the developer – it’d have been easier to receive an error if someone hit [Add Consent] button and nothing happened except being redirected to ‘Save Changes’ functionality. If it did nothing at the very least I knew something is wrong with the UI and thought sooner of the adblock being the culprit. Since it happily submitted, I had no idea what was going wrong.

In any case this post will probably be useful to others who will be encountering a similar problem.

    Otherwise it has been resolved.

The “saving” state should not have happened. The only thing that is supposed to happen is to add a new box with the new consent or nothing if something is wrong.

    That’s an odd behaviour.

I suppose if you enable ublock plugin you should be able to reproduce this.

And of course this could be a browser-version specific issue. I’m on firefox-56.0.2 on ubuntu linux (and not upgrading any time soon due to multiple unported extensions to the new firefox).

As I mentioned in my original post, I have figured out the workaround. But perhaps this would be useful to other users.
