    HI!
I have had your plugin installed for some time and was thrilled. With the addition of the “Consent option” check I had a practically 100% drop in reviews, causing enormous damage as I was a recently started e-commerce site.
I agree with EU regulations, but from the users I asked for information ALL of them either didn’t pay attention to it or thought it was “advertising”.

I’ve read some posts and have some questions:

    • is it not possible to eliminate the check by sending the request with my server, my email, but maintaining the independent verification option?
    • if I make the change to “no verification” then can I switch to “independent verification” without losing anything and return past verified reviews or is the switch “destructive” and only subsequent ones will be verified?
    • wouldn’t it be enough to include information on your service in the privacy policy that the customer must accept to proceed with the order?

I understand the EU regulations, but this problem with your plugin is causing too many problems, and as I read from most of the posts I think it is also useful for

Thanks for using our plugin! Here are responses to your questions:

    1. It is not possible to verify reviews collected via review forms hosted on your website.
    2. You will not loose old verified reviews. Verified reviews do not get deleted.
    3. You should have already included this information in the privacy policy. The fact that store owners forget to include this information in their privacy policies is the reason why a separate checkbox is required to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic
