Hello. I have activated Consent mode throught Google Site Kit >> Admin settings >> Enable consent mode. I have installed “Install WP Consent API”, and I have set up Complianz as per their instructions.

I am still receiving emails “Action required – adopt consent mode”. with a text like this:

    <<<

    Investigation:

    • Upon checking your query, I can see that you are not providing EEA end-user?consent?signals required for ad personalization features.
    • As I can see, there are some updates on Google’s?consent?mode?for traffic in EEA. To keep using measurement, ad personalization, and remarketing features, you must collect?consent?for use of personal data from end users based in the EEA and share?consent?signals with Google.?
    • The requirements also apply if you are using Google Analytics data with a Google service. Depending upon which category you fall, you need to implement the settings:
    • Consent?mode?allows you to adjust how your Google tags behave based on the?consent?status of your users and enables Google to model for gaps in conversions.
    • You can indicate whether?consent?has been granted for Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies. Google’s tags should dynamically adapt, only utilizing cookies for the specified purposes when?consent?has been given by the user. Using?consent?signals, we apply conversion modeling to recover lost conversions due to?consent?changes.

    >>>>>

Complianz says that everything is set up as it should be, and I’d better ask Site Kit about if there is any implementation issues.

Hi there @usrobotx and thanks for opening a support topic with us. When taking a look at your website using https://tagassistant.google.com/ it looks to me as though everything is set up and working correctly. You can see this guide on instructions on how to check this.

I did notice though that it looks like the Site Kit code on your site has been manipulated which is unrelated to your consent mode question but just something I wanted to point out. This looks like it is probably due to WP Rocket and minification settings.

You can exclude Site Kit resources from minification, as all Site Kit scripts are already minified. Using WP Rocket you can apply the exclusion below, within the WP Rocket configurations:
    /wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit/dist/assets/js/(.*).js

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thank you Adam for your prompt reply. So I should not receive “Adopt Consent Mode – Action required” messages, right?

As for the exclusion of Site Kit from WP Rocket, can you instruct me how should I do that?

@usrobotx I am not sure where those emails are coming from and can’t comment on those as they are not related to Site Kit. But as mentioned, when checking your set up, it looks to me like your consent mode is set up and working as I would expect it to.

With regards to excluding Site Kit resources from minification from WP Rocket, you can go to Settings > WP Rocket > File Optimization > JavaScript Files > Excluded JavaScript Files and add the the exclusion I shared above here and save. So it should look like this:

@usrobotx No problem at all. I will close this topic out but if you have any further issues or questions about Site Kit then please open a new support topic and we will be happy to help you.
