• Hello, I’m looking for a “definitive” solution to the GDPR problem on WP, without subscribing to the well-known overpriced cloud systems around.
I tested your plugin and I’m quite satisfied, the autoblock works like a charm (no other plugin I tried is able to do this).
Unfortunately, the plugin still misses a feature undeniably requested by the GDPR: consent log. It’s one of the few crystal clear rules – there HAS to be some kind of list of ALL cookie consents given by users. I know it’s practically useless, but the law still requests it. IP address and timestamp, that’s all. Do you plan to implement it in the near future? Doesn’t need to be something stored in db. Could be a log file, too.
Without this feature, your (otherwise excellent) plugin isn’t really GDPR-compliant…

    Hi,
the feature is under our consideration.

Honestly, i see another problem: if you deny cookies (but even if you accept) you will collect the ip but the user doesn’t know about it ( = collect data without permission).

What do you think about it?

I already considered this possible “legal” issue.
The cookie denial can’t be logged, legally (IMHO).
The consent can (and must!) be logged, but the IP has to be retrieved and stored AFTER the click. For example by an ajax call prior to page reload?

Hi! ?? First of all – great plugin, great work! The consent log is really very important part of all.
What if the last digit/digits of the IP is/are anonymized? This was idea/solution that was given from a lawyer.

    Hi,

The log has to be only for the users that ACCEPT the cookies. If they don’t accept, then they just won’t be on the log. Infact there should also be a button “Use only Technical cookies”.

When a legal part ask us for the confermation log, we have to give it to him or else ??
So when will the plug-in be GDPR compliant?
