    Hi,

I’m using the latest WordPress / Jetpack versions. XML-RPC is enabled to the best of my knowledge, and I am seeing connectivity issues with Jetpack:

    1. WP health status shows “WPCOM CONNECTION TEST” – error 200”. When I click on “We recommend reconnecting Jetpack.” I get “There was an error reconnecting Jetpack. Error: There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”

    2. Your online debug tool shows “XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 404 )”

According to my host, all should be fine on their end.

I have recently updated WordPress to the latest version.

Additionally, all my stats since 2019 previously shown on WP/Jetpack seems to have disappeared, and I only see the ones from this evening.

I already tried to reinstall and reconnect Jetpack, the errors are still there (this is also when my stats went missing). I haven’t been able to trace any conflicts with plugins either as I have deactivated and deleted all recently installed.

Any ideas what might be the issue?

    Thanks!`

  • Hi @nicholasahonen

I’ve seen you’ve had issues connecting Jetpack; however, I’ve browsed your website, and I’ve noticed it was returning a database error.

I’ve also found that Jetpack wasn’t able to reach your XML-RPC endpoint as it was returning this server response: 403 Forbidden

To allow Jetpack to connect properly, I’d highly suggest that you raise this with your host so they can take a closer look and fix what’s giving these server responses.

Let us know how it goes.
