    Hello,

When running a connectivity test all transport listings get an Ajax Error message in red and the Wizard hangs at point 3 (Outgoing Mailserver Hostname) with this message: https://pasteboard.co/9vuzO1lgNM08.jpg

Despite those, the email test is well delivered.

Is there anything I should do?

    @dsl225 Hi,

    Hope you are doing good.

Let me know which mailing service you are using with POST SMTP.

Share the Diagnostic test report of Post STMP.

Are you using any User role plugins? are you logged in from the admin account in your wp-admin?

Talk to your hosting support and ask them to disable Mod Security and then let me know.

    Thanks

Hi @haseeb0001 and thanks for your feedback.

I have this issue with 6 sites hosted on different shared accounts.

One is using “Gmail API” and getting this for the test:
    https://pasteboard.co/ZnQ5nx4HmJgd.png
(note that other sites using the FTP service on this same account don’t get this issue)
This account doesn’t have Mod Security.

All 5 others are using SMTPS on port 465 and getting the same sort of error:

2 of them are on the same account as the 1 above that is using Gmail AI.

The remaining 3 are on 2 different other accounts that I still need to check.
As I said, this issue only appears when testing or running the Wizard but email are still sent out without a problem.

    Hi,

I have the same thing on every website, where we using Post SMTP.

We never had this problem before 2.1.7 update.

/////// Copy from an other thread ///////

Just for a test we disabled MOD security on one website, restarted Apache (we are a hosting company) and nothing changed. I’ve got the same error as on the first screenshot.

The 2nd step in the wizard >> click next >> error pops up.

I was curious, so I went back to v2.1.6, v2.1.5, v2.1.4 all of them is fine with the wizard.

Anyway, the plugin works well with the manual settings, so I will stop using the wizard for while.

Hope you will have a solution soon.

    Thanks.

let me know are you using your wp-admin from an Administrator account ?

Kindly let me know if you are using any user role plugin.

    Thanks

I found something, hope it helps.

I got this database error on every site (after clicking on the ‘NEXT’ button)

There is no active plugin, only Post SMTP 2.1.8 (PHP 7.4.30, WP 6.0.2)

    Cheers.

I don’t well understand your first question but yes I’m logging in my WP accounts as Administrator.

And no, I’m not using any role plugin at any of those sites that are getting this issue.

We are looking into this issue, in meantime, you can Rollback to version 2.1.5 and you can download 2.1.5 from here.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Thanks

    No problem, thanks.
As @tfrank77 said above, everything works despite that issue and only the Wizard is affected. I’ll just wait until it is resolved.
