I am trying to locate the contents of a connections directory on a site that no longer has wp-admin access.

my-site-domain.com/directory is the page that I have the [connections] shortcode on. Everything is working. I can add new connections from admin dashboard, and they display on this page.

My issue is (being lazy and not wanting to research and re-type all my connections info) I cannot make a csv backup/download of the existing directory on the old website (eg my-site-domain.com/OLD-site/directory ) as the wp-admin redirects to the new site (above).

How can I access the info in the old-site connections directory to be able to import to the new site?
Am I asking the right question? I dunno..
Should I be asking, how to I access the old-site wp-admin to download a csv file?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks
    Pete

I forgot to mention that I have cpanel access to the old-site to be able to copy files over, or amend what’s needed to regain access via wp-admin

Since you no longer have access to the old admin, the options are limited.

Here’s a link to a developer doc that explains how to manually migrate the Connections tables from the WP database from one site to another.

You may run into an issue if the destination database does not support FULLTEXT indexes. If it does not, then the database tables will fail to import. If you run into that issue, I’m sorry, but I am not sure how one would work around that.

I hope this helps; please let me know.
