Connections Business Directory Plugin stopped working

    Suddenly the Connections Business Directory plugin stopped working, showing a critical error. I also have Connections Slim Plus Plugin but I noticed that this had to be deactivated as it caused all the website to stop for a critical error. Is there any conflict between the two plugins and the most recent WP? How can I explore the issue?

    Please navigate to the WordPress Plugins admin page and verify that the Slim Plus template is still activated.

    If it is, please navigate to the Connections Templates admin page and ensure that the Slim Plus template is the default active template. If is not, please click the Activate button.

    Lastly, please edit the directory page. If you have added the template=slim-plus to the shortcode, please remove it as that is not necessary if the template is the default active template. (It should function correctly regardless, but removing the option will remove one variable to troubleshoot.)

    Hi Steven,

    thank you for replying.
    If I try to activate Slim plus I get a critical error and all the website crashes (both back end and front end). So I cannot choose Slim Plus template as default.
    Also, when I try to manage my directory on Connections, I get a critical error on the manage section (here a screenshot, sorry it’s in italian).

    It sounds like you might have an older version of the template. What version of Connections and Slim Plus template do you have installed?

    Hi sorry for the wait. Connections is updated to latest version, Slim plus is old at 1.0.1 but I can’t update it because it crashes everything else.

    You will need to update the very old version of Slim Plus to the current version that is compatible with the latest versions of PHP (the likely reason for the crash).
