Connections: Business Directory Plugin

    Hello,

    I’m having trouble customizing templates with the Connections Business Directory plugin using the Mesmerize theme. There is a button to customize the template, but it takes me to the theme customization screen rather than the template customization screen. Anyone else happen to experience this and know of a good solution for someone that doesn’t do much coding?

    Yes, this is correct … or more accurately, it loads the WordPress Customizer which is commonly used to adjust theme design/settings.

    If you are not seeing the template customization options, please confirm that you have created a page and added the [connections] shortcode to that page and have set it as the “Directory Homepage”.

    Please see steps 4 and 5 is the quick start guide for more details:

    This is required otherwise when the Customizer loads, it will not find the directory page (because it was not set) and it will then default back to displaying the themes settings.
