Connection redirects category links to main page

    Hello, i am using connections since years but since a couple of days all category links lead to the main page. By deactivating conncetions the links are working. The theme i use is one press and it was never having problems with connections. Any idea?

    Three things to do/check…

    Please navigate to the WordPress Permalinks settings admin page. Make no changes. Did that correct the issue?

    If not,

    Please navigate to the Connections Settings admin page and click the Advanced tab. Please share a screenshot showing the settings for the Permalink slugs.

    I recently just learned that the following plugin breaks all the Connections related rewrite rules, so if you have it installed and activated, I suggest deactivating it:

    Hello Steven,

    thank you for the fast response. I checked the permalinks and it seems to be OK also at the advanced settings there is nothing to see which looks like a problem. Other plugins i tried all but they didn′t effect anything. How to send you screenshots?

    From wp.com support site, here are a few ways you can share that screenshot with me:

    • Upload the screen shot to a third party service like Snag.gy, Droplr or CloudApp or LightShot and then share the image link from that service with support

    Ok, I see an issue. On the Connections Settings admin page under the Advanced tab, you have set the Category permalink slug to category; it is reserved for WP Categories. I suggest changing the Connections Category Permalink slug back to its default of cat.
