Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.

  • Speed issues and I keep getting – “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.”

    I’ve done some reading on this issue and it seems to have been an issue in older versions, I’ve tried all-sorts to try and resolve it as I’m struggling to make any changes to my sites.

    I have 4 WordPress sites hosted within a cPanel account, they are all running really slow, our host (Melbourne IT) have been absolutely useless with little to no support or assistance.

    I consistently get “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.” when editing a post or page and sometimes the browser will go to page can’t be found.

    Anyone with any help or advice on how to investigate and resolve this would be greatly appreciated!
