Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.

    I am despreate for help as I cannot seem to resolve this issue. When trying to edit posts we constantly get the message “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.” and it just hangs. Eventually it will reconnect but it can take forever…or it can take a few minutes. I have talked to my hosting profider and they say that my CPU usage is spiking. I have no idea why as our site usage has actually dropped recently.

    I moved from a basic shared hosting to a cloud hosting package which increased our available RAM from 156MB to 2GB and the problem still persits.

    I have tried switching off all plugins and it still happened.

    I have tried increasing WP memory limit from 48MB to 96MB and it still happens.

    We are now also getting Error 524

    I am at a loss as to what we can do.

    Disable CloudFlare on the /wp-admin directory.

    If you have NextGen Gallery, stop using NextGen Gallery.

    Consider a better hosting service.

    Thanks for the reply. I have disabled cloudflare. I have actually deleted my site entirely and cancelled my subscription with them. I don’t have next gen gallery.

    The problem still persists.

    I am getting this too. Did you resolve it? I have finally figured out that this happens when I am uploading a PNG image, and that it’s something to do with WP creating the different sizes of PNGs, but I don’t know what to do about it. Have you tried checking if this problem just happens when you’re uploading a PNG?
