Connection information incorrect

    I am just setting up my new blog, and want to download both themes and plugins. However, when it asks me for my connection into, the username/password for the hostname is coming up as incorrect…..which it isn’t! Is there something I’m missing here? I’m presuming it’s the hosting site’s username/password it wants, but I have also tried the ones for WordPress, but nothing is working. HELP please.

    This normally means that your wp-content/plugins directory on your web server is not writable by the apache user.

    Try changing the permissions of wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes to 777

    Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve done as you suggested, but it’s still not recognising my password.
