Connection Error

We may need to try a few things to troubleshoot this error. First, we recently released another update – 2.0.3 – that included a number of connection fixes. Would you please give that a try and let me know how that works for you?

Right now, I got this error message again “Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!
Please try again.”

my version is “Facebook for WooCommerce 2.0.5”. My Bluehost version:2.2.1 WordPress version:5.5.1

I don’t know why cause this error.

Thank you for the update here. I’m sorry that it still did not connect as expected.

Since the “Something went wrong” error doesn’t tell us much about what is happening here, I do have a code snippet that will provide us with some more detailed error messaging.

If you’re not sure how to add this code to your site, we do have a blog article in our site that will surely help. I prefer to use the free Code Snippets plugin method myself.

The code snippet to add is:
add_filter( 'wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url', function() { return 'https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/';} );

Once added, would you please try connecting again to see if we can get a better idea of what is happening?

I used the plugin you said and add the code in my website. I run reconnect and I opnen “F12″ to see the console. I got below message in console.

There should have been some error messaging right on the screen, without needing to go into the console. Nevertheless, I think I see what might be happening here.

I’d like to see if we can provide your site a bit of a reset to this connection and try again using the following steps:

• Go to https://dryeye.healme.best/wp-admin/options.php
• Look for the field labeled wc_facebook_external_business_id
• Change that value to dryeye-healme-i5sfhr7se713k
• Go back to WooCommerce > Facebook and try connecting again
