Hi there, I’ve been using your plugin with no issues for the past few weeks. Today I am getting the following error

WP-Stateless is not active due to following errors:

Could not connect to Google Storage bucket. Please, be sure that bucket with name “” exists.

I have tried making a new bucket following the manual instructions, but the same error still appears. In case it was a localhost issue I also tried deploying my site to a temporary subdomain, but the error remains.

  • Hello.

That error also means that Google account which you have at the moment does not have access to that bucket. Try to re-create your account or be sure you are using correct one.

    Regards.

    Hello there,

Can confirm that I am logged into with the correct account and have recreated the bucket to try again. I am still receiving the same error. I am extremely confused because everything had been working perfectly for weeks, but when I opened my laptop on Friday morning suddenly this error…

Is there another reason this could happen?

    Best Wishes

Go to Media > Stateless Settings
    Then check the field
    Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Bucket.
Please confirm that’s not empty or if there is any notice there.

Can you please try with Setup Wizard? Or please make sure you followed the instructions correctly?

HI there, I now have this issue fixed. I’m not entirely sure what went wrong, but I started again from the start and my site is now getting the media from my bucket again.

    Cheers for the help!

    Thank you for feedback!
