Connecting WordPress between database server and web server

Hello,

I’m trying to completely clean install a new wordpress blog after we’ve removed our old server. The only problem, I have a database server, housing all of our databases, and I have a web server that hosts all of our stuff seen on the web.

How in the heck do I link the two together in the config file so that they communicate with each other and the config can alter the database. Any idea? I’m going crazy.
