Connecting SD to Paypal

  • I am having a difficult time setting up Paypal to communicate with Seamless Donations. Anyone that has set this up successfully I would greatly appreciate your help.

    I went into the paypal sandbox and set up a merchant and a buyer account and then tested it in the simulator and it seem to work. I then changed over from sandbox to live and it does not work.

    Is there a contact at Paypal that might be able to help us through this process?

    I would be glad to send you the log and any code!

    Here is the log. After I click on donate it hangs there with the progress bar continually refreshing. It never opens another screen to put in the credit card information.

    George, try this out and see if it helps. Go to your real PayPal account. Under the little head icon is a Profile and Settings menu. Click that.

    There are three columns. On the right is Selling Preferences. Click Instant Payment Notification Preferences and you’ll be given an IPN setup screen. Set Receive IPN Notifications and paste in your IPN URL from the SD settings page.
