    Hello,

    I recently updated JetPack to 3.4.1. The update seemed to go through fine, but the next day when I attempted to log in to my site using the wp-login page, it was returning “Fatal error: Call to undefined function inet_pton() in “file path”\protect.php on line 276.

    I was able to ftp into my site and disable the JetPack plugin and then tried to re-activate it. I’ve noticed the problem only seems to happen when I actually connect JetPack to wordpress.com. If I have the plugin activated but not connected, I don’t get this issue.

    My host is running PHP version 5.2.17 with a Server API CGI/FastCGI. I do enjoy the benefits that JetPack gives me without having to use several different plug-ins, so any help would be great.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Glad to hear that!

    is there any need that I deactivate any specific feature to avoid jetpack conflicting with wordpress seo?

    No, no need to worry there, the 2 plugins work well together.

    I have just installed 3.4.2 and now have new error message when trying to communicate with Wordpres.com

    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: The required “client_id” parameter is missing.

    Going back and tray again has same result. Any suggestions how to fix this?

    Hi! I’m having the same problem as SILENCEmzs . I’m using WordPress 4.1.1, tried installing Jetpack 3.4.2 and got a blank screen when trying to access the dashboard. I tried the solution that you gave to SILENCEmzs but when I try to upload the zip file wordpress just asks me something like “Are you sure you want to do this? Try uploading again” and when I try again I get the same question. Any hints on how to solve this? Thanks in advance

    @masaleiro
    Hi,
    I had the same problem but tried uploading via ftp and activating the plugin in dashboard. and it worked. upload the 8mB file via ftp.
    good luck

    @silencemzs
    Hi,
    thanks for your suggestion but I tried it and as soon as I activate the Jetpack plugin after uploading via FTP I get the blank page again. The only other plugin that I have activated is Akismet so I don’t think it could be any conflict with other plugins. Waiting for more sugestions.. :\

    when i upload the vers. 3.4.2 i have new problem :

    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: Unknown client_id.

    @masaleiro Since you get a blank screen, your problem might be different from the one reported by SILENCEmzs.

    Could you try to make the changes here and let me know if it helps?

    If it doesn’t, Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

    Thank you!

    @iugurbas

    Could you try to follow the instructions I posted above, and let me know how it goes?

    I have the same problem as @iugurbas

    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: Unknown client_id.

    Also have removed as per the instructions above. Installation of the version you posted goes OK but as soon as the connect to WordPress.com is clicked the error is returned.

    @cambuslang Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you let me know the exact error you see, after updating to Jetpack 3.4.3?

    Thanks!

    Dear all, I have tryd this:

    Yogeshkadvekar: adding return true does not work…

    ftp to your site and go to wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/
    Download or open protect.php and REMOVE line 276 and line 277
    Upload it by overwrite the old file.
    Done..
    Dont try to put the safty thing back on.
    I think we’ll heave to wait untill somebody from the WP authors find a solution for this annoying bug.

    Cheers!
