Connecting Itthinx Groups plugin

    Im looking to synchronize the popular “Groups” plugin in with this, so that a user who is part of the group is also given membership to the private forum for the corresponding group. Obviously it would be amazing if you could add this functionality, but I understand if not. Do you have any suggestions on how I could make this work? Thanks!

    without spending hours in the itthinx plugin, this might be difficult to do.

    I presume that the itthinkx ‘groups’ are not either wordpress or bbpress roles ?

    How technical are you – for instance do you know how to look at stuff in the database ?

    This would be sooo awesome!

    I would also love to achieve an automated link between the Itthinx groups https://www.itthinx.com/plugins/groups/ and bbpress private groups. This would hugely extend the functionality of private groups because the Itthinx Groups plugin integrates with PayPal and Woocommerce and can auto-assign users to groups at registration.

    fwiw I know how to look at stuff in the database – but just enough to make it dangerous ??

    I’ve just released version 3.4.7

    If you go to settings and tab assign groups to roles, you’ll find the ability to set ‘assign group on every visit’ which will automatically assign the user to a single role on every visit.
