I’ve tried to connect as required, I’m getting this error message on the final step:

    Oops, something went wrong.
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.

    Hi @akhele,

While this error can occur for a few different reasons, the most common seems to be in relation to Facebook’s supported currencies.

If your WooCommerce default currency is not on this list, some folks have had success temporarily changing their currency to a supported one (USD, CAD, GBP, EUR) to connect and then changing it back afterward.

We mentioned it in the docs here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#oops-something-went-wrong-error

Share updates if that helped or if it did not fix your problem.

    Hi everyone,

When the plugin has been configured previously, it will save a merchant_settings_id in your WooCommerce database so that you can re-open the setup at any time to show your previously selected options. If you lose access to the account that configured the plugin or decide to change the connected Facebook user, this message will be displayed.

The quick workaround here is to reset the plugin back to a fresh install, removing the existing settings.

You can do so by installing the following small plugin we’ve created. This will add a new tool available at WooCommerce > Status > Tools called “Reset Facebook for WooCommerce settings“. Click the Reset Settings button here, and then navigate back to the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin settings screen to try connecting again.

    Thank you.

I’ve downloaded the attached file which is a single php file not a full plugin. How and where do I install it?
