Connect Square reader to WordPress

Hello,

WooCommerce Square can be used as a payment gateway as well to manage inventory as explained in this documentation:

https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/sync-settings/

I understand you had to add the order manually, and that the inventory is not working as expected with Shipstation and Square.

To help you to investigate, please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report, you can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

Thank you! I looked at the page/information and I think that is all I needed to do. I will do a test purchase using the Square Card Reader and confirm if it will sync with my WordPress through WooCommerce. Will report back soon.

For some reason, WooCommerce is not syncing an order when it is placed/purchased using a card reader. The order shows in Square as a transaction, but did not feed over to WooCommerce. I understand that you are using a card reader here when placing an order and you would like to connect it to your WooCommerce store, however, even though the order shows in your Square account as a transaction, it is not reflected under WooCommerce > Orders, and you would have to manually enter it, correct?

Can you please provide further information about the card reader you are using here so that we could point you in the right direction? Furthermore, how did you integrate it into your WooCommerce store as well as I am not seeing any third-party plugins related to this? Or, if I am missing something, feel free to share it here.

Resolution: Just use the WooCommerce app for all in-person transactions and use on of the import/export plug-ins to add the transactions to my purchases in WP/WC. They were all high-priced so I found one called “WebToffee Import Export Basic”. When I start to have a larger number of in-person transactions, I may start using “Product CSV Import Suite” ($49) or “WooCommerce Zapier” ($59).
