Hello, i open new analytics and GA4 with Google site kit.
i notice after site kit open the GA4 and the old GA accounts, i note the consoles not actually connected:
    https://ibb.co/hsf7kXs

now as you see THE INTERFACE shows the tags need be connected.

but if you go to the page himself.
you see Google Sitkit put both of the tags.

my question if it’s really connected? ot this note is not actual connect tags?

or i maybe wrong and i should connect between them inside Analytics?
    (the screenshot i showed you)

    What to do guys? Instruction?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @123nadav thanks for your question. If you created your GA4 property through Site Kit then you will also need to connect it in your Analytics account which is shown in the screenshot you have kindly provided.

Here you will need to select the property that is connected in your Site kit and choose the ‘Connect Properties‘ button.

If the property already existed prior to you setting up Site Kit then you would have been able to select that property and wouldn’t need to connect it within your Analytics account like in this case.

Hope this helps to explain this for you but let me know if you have anymore questions.

@123nadav I will discuss this further with the team to see if this is something that can be automated as part of the Site Kit GA4 setup.

I will reply here once I have an update on this.

    I think you’re wrong.
If you look on the screenshot, you see they put a note:

Connect an existing Google Analytics 4 property to take advantage of future tools to help complete your property configuration. You’ll be responsible for tagging your site.

Now, i did fresh installation of GA the Old and GA4, both of them got open throw Google Site Kit.

It’s the best way in 2022 to open Analytics.
It must be done, my GA was very old and next year he’s going to be deleted completely.

So i did fresh installation of EVERYTHING with Google site kit.

Now the screenshot, i think is a data link, and not an actual tag, and you MUST connect
    it, no matter what.

But waiting to your response, i still didn’t connect it
situation right now is like the screenshot i sent you, but i think it MUST be connected, this screenshot you see, i think this connection transfer DATA between the GA4 AND THE OLD ONE, and not adding new TAGS.

Hi @123nadav and thanks for your patience while I discussed this with the team. As it stands you will need to connect your GA4 property manually to your UA property because this is not done by default via Site Kit.

We are now investigating if this functionality is something that’s possible to add to the Site kit plugin and have created a new GitHub issue for this which you can follow for updates here: https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/5082.

    Nice bro ??
but really, i don’t think its a big issue, you can put pop up in the plugin for the client, to make sure he will connect them throw Analytics. But you must notify your clients.

It can be a cool feature, not going to lie…
But information to the client beforehand can save you the problem.
