    I had not upgraded for a long time, so I upgraded from v1.5.2 to 2.2, but then I cannot make it work anymore, so I downgraded back (and it works again). But what causes the problem?

    Thanks for reaching out! Please note that this error was retuned from your SMTP provider. The error suggests that your connection timed out when connecting to your SMTP server.

    Please get in touch with your hosting support with the full error log, and they should be able to assist you further.

    hi.

    i se no problem from hosting provider. When I reinstall v1.5, it works fine.

    Hi ckurir,

    Within your Easy WP SMTP -> Settings page, select the “Encryption Type” as TLS and then make sure to change your “port number” to 587 and see whether you can connect.

    I tried all combinations, SSL, TLS 587 etc.

    In the prev version there was possible to choose START TLS – which I am using in version 1.5
