Connect / Disconnect profile button

I have disabled access for users to the main WordPress dashboard, and instead have them changesettings through the bbPress forums profile edit. The link looks like: https://www.example.com/forums/users/the_user/edit/

Other plugins are able to modify and add fields to this page, but the Patreon plugin does not. While the “Connect/Disconnect your Account” buttons appear in the WordPress dashboard, nothing appears in the modified user edit area.

Is there anything I can do to enable this functionality? I think it might be because of the “$user_id” checks in patreon_user_profiles.php, but I’m not sure how to get the buttons to add correctly.
