Confusing and Incomplete

  • I have found the new editor to be very unintuitive. Maybe I am just slow but how do you even use it? One of the strengths of WordPress has always been simplicity for non-technical users. The new editor is a giant step backwards in this regard. Another major problem is its lack of support for many of the hooks that were once available on the editor screen. This will break a large number of plugins that many users rely on. I will not be upgrading on my websites but my fear is how long will not upgrading be an option???

    Opt-out via the Classic Editor plugin is a simple, effective & safer option (you get all security updates).

    The Gutenberg team & Matt Mullenweg have confirmed that the Classic Editor plugin will be supported for many years, allowing you to delay using Gutenberg as long as you feel you need.
