• Although it seems to have a great potential and it’s solid, this plugin in it’s actual state (3.4.2) has very confusing configuration options, bad documentation, and the so-called Newsletter Extensions (for sending posts automatically) are no where to be found.

First the plugin version is 3.0.3, I hope you are not talking about a different plugin. Extensions, as written, are not yet released and thay are actually part of the pro version.

About documentation and about my English, you’re right, they are not good and need to be improved. Anyway I see there are so many bloggers using the plugin with success I believe it can be configured even if the documentation is far than perfect.

More, if you need support, there is a forum on my site where to ask for help. Hence I’ll wait your precious questions which will help me to improve the configuration where it is confusing.

    Thank you.

    Stefano.

Hello Stefano, thank you for your reply. Indeed I got confused with the version number and stated the WP version instead of the plugin’s, but yes, I am talking about the same plugin.

About the documentation, I don’t think it’s bad because of the English, but because of the structure, it is difficult to find and once you are there it is confusing to navigate. I obviously appreciate the great amount of effort you are putting into it, and I see its potential, as I said. Nevertheless, in the time of writing, it is a plugin that needs more work and fellow users will appreciate to know, thus my review. I will be happy to change it in the future.

    All the best.

Even if I really don’t pay attention to the rating of my plugins, because to rate something it must be used for a while… and most of the people who rates things just give them a superficial look, I hope you really want to list me where the options are confuse.

The plugin can be installed and just dragging a widget on the sidebar it works. It has a welcome page where this step is described. Ok, there are few lines of text to read… may be this is something unwanted by blog owners who want to setup a newsletter system in their blog.

Should I use my time to develop even a wizard for first time users who don’t have time to read and think about what they are doing?

I’m really curious to understand what should be the steps to take to make the plugin complete (in your point of view), of course, being it free, without put on it tons of money.

    Stefano.

ps: I’m not replying to get your rate changed, as you can see this plugin has some five star rating (I never asked for them) and some 1 star rating. Clearly there is something of strage…
