Confused with Plugin

I’m confused with this plugin, it doesnt seem to work for me and i see that there are 2 million people using it.

I run activity log and it tells me there are failed logins happening every few seconds to the website but your plugin cant see or stop any of this activity, are you able to shed some light in this area?

If you add usernames to the blocklist, does this mean they will be locked on attempt? for instance, i’ve changed the admin username from admin to something else, so i’ve added admin,testuser,dev,administrator all on separate lines into this list, is this how its used?

It would be good to have an activity feed page to see exactly what is happening..
