    Hello,
I have installed BBB with the WP plugin. I am running WP 4.7.3. In the installation, it has the URL as the test site for BBB and the salt code is pre-populated. The installation video says to change the URL and the salt. If my site is ABC.com, would I change the URL to https://ABC.com/bigbluebutton? Where do I find the salt? I googled how to find it in WP, which says to go to the wp-congif.php. I did find this, but it did not say anything about BBB on it (ex: no var/lib/tomcat…). It listed several things as authentication. So, which one of these codes would I enter? Or since the information is pre-populated in the plugin, do I leave it be?
    Thanks
    Cbnk

You need to run bbb-conf in your BBB server console. See:

Thank you for your response. Do you know if this is already loaded when you install the plugin or is there another plugin for it? If not, how do I get bbb-conf into a BBB server console?
    Thanks!

My wrong. I thought you had the basic understanding of how BigBlueButton works.

Well, you can’t. You first need to have your own BBB server, otherwise you are tied to use test-install which is a BBB server freely provided for testing purposes.

Check BBB documentartion to see how to install your own server or look for help to any of the commercial providers listed in the official page.

My apologies for my lack of understanding. Your comments have been very helpful.
    Thank you.

No worries, now you know ??

    Hi

I installed the plugin. Is there any limitations to using it as a “test-install which is a BBB server freely provided for testing purposes.”

    Thanks

For the records. The only limitation is that the recordings last for 14 days only.

You can use it as much as you want/need, BUT keeping in mind that there is no warranty of service implied.
