Confused moving template from 1.2 – 1.5

Hi all,

I am really getting very confused about moving my template from 1.2 to 1.5s template system.

I have a heavily modified template that pulls in the css from a root directory of /css/ and all my includes are pulled from the directory of /includes/ now am I right in saying that if I wanted to incorporate my current template into 1.5 themes I would have to change all the links in my css file of image etc as they would be pointing to the wrong location?

I also have includes that are used on non-wp pages so my sidebar can pull in wp links and lists.

My index is one file apart from sidebar includes and it sits out of the wp folder.

I read the codex but it don’t seem to discuss what I have.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
