    Hello @alexli126

Thanks for reaching out to us, we’re here to help.

Firstly, I would like to clarify that it is not necessary to upload the domain association file to your host for Apple Pay to work with our PayPal Payments plugin. I recommend deleting the file, removing the domain from the PayPal dashboard, and then re-adding it. After that, check the address https://mysite.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association. If it displays a series of numbers or strings, this typically indicates that the domain has been registered correctly.

While PayPal Payments can’t automatically register the domain for you, it does automatically present your domain association file for Apple to validate the manually registered domain.

Please follow our step-by-step documentation here.

Let us know if Apple Pay works correctly after following documentation.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian

    Great thanks for your guiding.

Yes, it works, and it shows data strings at https://mysite.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.

    Questions please:
    1. Which directory is the Apply Json file was automatically created? it would be great if you could clarify so that we can fully understand and maintain our server.

    2. Apple Pay Icon is already showing up at frontend page, however the message persists:
Apple Pay has not yet been validated. Use the Apple Pay button in your shop for Apple to validate your domain. If this message persists after using the button, please verify your website displays the correct?domain association file. More details about the Apple Pay setup can be found in the?PayPal Payments documentation.

    3. I note that Google Pay and Apple Pay is under the tab of Advanced Card Processing, does that mean Google Pay and Apple Pay will work only if Advanced Card Processing is enabled?

    Thanks

    Hello @alexli126

    1. Which directory is the Apply Json file was automatically created? it would be great if you could clarify so that we can fully understand and maintain our server.

I’m not quite sure I understand your question, but the directory path you mentioned is included in the link you shared—it’s specifically “.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association”.

Regarding the domain validation, please note that the proper validation will only be verified when you actually use the Apple Pay button on your site. Until you do this, the status might continue to show as “validation failed”. This does not mean that there is an issue with your setup. It’s simply how the system verifies the integration. Importantly, you do not need to complete a payment to verify the validation.

    3. I note that Google Pay and Apple Pay is under the tab of Advanced Card Processing, does that mean Google Pay and Apple Pay will work?only if?Advanced Card Processing is enabled?

No, there’s no connection between ACDC and those gateways. We’ve relocated them in preparation for an upcoming update that involves splitting APM into dedicated gateways.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian

    Hello,

Our domain is verified on PayPal: https://prnt.sc/BT1Zt1jhT5Xe

    1. .well-known:

I check on Linux server, however, I did not fount the folder or directory of .well-known even with the command: ls -a to show hidden files, and I just suppose it is not Physical folder, anyway, it would be great if you can check with your developers and clarify how it is stored, so that we can maintain the server safely.

    2. Apple Pay has not yet been validated

Regarding the domain validation, please note that the proper validation will only be verified when you actually use the Apple Pay button on your site.

    (1) For now, the data strings is show up at https://mysite.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.

    Please check the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/8pP7TsEVSI7B

    (2) Pay with Apple Pay button is showing on the checkout page https://prnt.sc/9-ZR7bzjHUad,

    (3) I already tried lots of time to click the button of Apple Pay, but it still show as Apple Pay has not yet been validated at backend: https://prnt.sc/K8fK_teqjaTH

Please note that both Advanced Card Processing and Pay Later are disabled on our site.

So, please investigate the issue upon how to vaidlidate the Apple Pay.
