• I’m somewhat confused and would appreciate some advice.

I’ve a blog up and runing for some time now “My Irish Blog” hosted at https://www.worldwide-infomedia-services.com (in case you’re wondering it a domain name I bought for I wanted to be able to use the term ‘brought to you by worldwide infomedia services in my other sites/blogs and I thought now I have it I might as well use it.) Anyway that’s getting away from why I’m here.

The blog went live in the middle of March, I’ve posted on a very regular basis, since then I haven’t received one comment – not even a spam comment – and I’m trying to figure out why.

If I Google the phrase worldwide infomedia services pm the first three pages they only show one of the posts I’ve made to the blog. There is a lot of other older material in there and some of my other sites get mentioned.

I’ve checked just to make sure I had selected for my blog to be visable – it was. I know of course that some blogs take and others don’t; also that time is needed to get a blog recognized but I’d have thought by now google would at least be picking up on me. When a new post is made pings are sent automatically.

I opened up two other blogs about the same time and while I’d like to see more visitors at leat some comments are been made and google is indexing them often within 20 minutes”

Any ideas what might be going on with My Irish Blog or how I can get it recognized

  • Do you have a robots.txt file?
    https://www.robotstxt.org/

In your WP Dashboard, under Settings > Privacy, make sure the first radio button is active (I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers).

That’s one of the first things I checked and yest it was/is active. I’ve just checked the blog and guess what – first reply and it’s not spam :); maybe things are looking up

Hi kevin I liked your site. Looks like great info.
I did notice though that its not currently possible for visitors to register, only login.
if you set up so anyone can register and users must be logged in to comment you may get more response.
    nice site though
    mike
