• Hello,
Just installing WordPress with my hosting.
I have heared conflicting advice on weather to install it on the root or sub directory. i.e. It is more secure if you put as a sub directory but have also read that this is bad for SEO.
    Is any of this accurate?

At the moment I am planning to use WP for my whole site but would like at least part of the main page to be static & have the blog posts on a different page. (I may just have the most recent post on the main page.) This may change as I learn more etc.

Any advice would be such a help. I spent last night search the forum & internet & would love a clear answer.
    Thank you.

  • Actually you are making a bigger deal of it than is really necessary. Either way is fine.

What ever you decide ones installed and working and have content on wordpress stay with same setup as if you changing in between will effect your SEO
