• Hi,
I have decided to use your plugin and likely the paid version eventually because it has all the things or more of the things I need compared to BuddyPress.

The thing that is confusing me is that with BuddyPress, the Registration form anf xProfiles serves to Register a user and populate their profile at the same time.

Is this not the case with Ultimate Member? I made a Registration form with all the profile fields, when I went to view this user there was no info showing. If it is the case where I need a separate form for registering and filling out a profile, then how do I make sure the user is redirected to the profile form after registering in the case where approval is not needed).

Also, how do I make sure user gets the correct registration form based on user role. I was under the impression I would use conditional logic to change the fields based on user role entered. But I am seeing tutorials with different Registeration forms for different roles, but how does this work if I use registration to determine the user role in the first place?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ninsights,

The Ultimate member requires a registration form to collect all data upon registration and profile form to show this data on the User page.

Please go to the Ultimate member -> Forms section where you can find registration and profile forms. In general, you should add similar fields to your profile and registration forms. Redirect after login/registration can be set in Ultimate member -> User roles -> your user role e.g. Member and in the Registration section – action to be taken after login/registration.

You can also use unique registration/ profile forms for different user roles.
Please check this doc for additional info.

    Regards.

***If I should make similar fields, how do I make this information populate the profile form so user does not need to fill the same info twice?

***How do use unique forms if I don’t know the user roles until they register? Can there be different forms shown based on an initial question of what type of account user wants to register? Again, I thought I would use conditional logic via a single form, but this way sounds much cleaner and easier.

I understand you have documentation but at the risk of sounding too critical, I am finding this documentation lacking in many scenarios, like the one I find myself in and the questions that aren’t clear. Is there different documentation for the Premium version? Or just more personalized support?
