Confused about exceptions and excluded links

    Hello, Since major update from 1.8.1 I was scared to upgrade to new version (I did rollout back to previus version as new one did not work for me, as setup was not copied nicely to updated version.

    My issue is, that there is exceptions and excluded links. What make to much ex and confusions.

    Please tell me, how to setup correctly to work as before, so I can update all my websites with new version.

    Example: I have list of websites 1.com, 2.com, 3.com … in old plugin,, all websites were in “Ignore links with URL’s containing…”. This mean, that on my website, all 1.com, 2.com, 3.com websites have follow atribute, but all other are nonfollow.

    In new setup after upgrade, it put all my defined links 1,2,3 to section: “Exclude external links by URL” + Own settings for excluded links: and choice: Own settings for excluded links (extra tab)

    so I go to extra tab and allow setting to excluded links and setup what options? Follow of nofollow?

    Thanks for your help and clarification. In previos version it was very clear, in new, not.

    Hi ??

    If you wish to make the links 1.com, 2.com, 3.com “follow” please add them each on their own line with no spaces before/after in Exceptions -> Exclude external links by URL.

    Make sure Own settings for excluded links is selected below.

    Then go to Excluded Links and Select follow in the “Set follow or nofollow” dropdown.
