Conflicts with Jetpack

    Hi there
    There was a Jetpack upgrade this morning and I did it.
    Then I noticed what seems to be conflicts with Autoptimize and Jetpack:
    1. Sharing options don’t display when CSS optimisation is ON.
    2. Tiled galleries are broken.

    I also noticed a conflict with WooCommerce Quickview plugin by James Kemp. The Quickview span doesn’t style when CSS optimization is ON.

    Does anyone else see such problems or, on the contrary, does anyone has the same plugins and no trouble?

    PS : I didn’t include links to the website since I deactivated Autoptimize for now, not wanting people to see the broken stuff.

  • Hey CrimsonGuard,

    I’m also getting a conflict issue with Autoptimize and a tiled/masonry gallery plugin. The plugin I’m using is called Photomosaic.

    After debugging, I’ve found that it is a flat-out conflict and that the following error is generated referring to the Photomosaic JS file: ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: React is not defined’.

    Maybe Jetpack Tiled Galleries has a similar issue.

    Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix?

    I’ll have a look at this (the JetPack issue) one of the next couple of days.

    Regarding:

    Uncaught ReferenceError: React is not defined

    That means there’s JS which creates an object “React” which is not available. Have a go at the “force JS into head” option or try to identify the script that’s responsible for creating that object and exclude it from optimization.

    did a test with jetpack’s tiled gallery and jetpacks sharing and that seems to work just fine. must be something else interfering there? what do you see in your browsers error console?

    update; when clicking on a sharing icon, it openend in a full page instead of a popup. I excluded jquery.js from JS optimization and this now works as it should.

    Dear Franck
    To be honest, one day before your answer, the problem was gone. Hard to say why (WP Super Cache or Varnish cache problem perhaps?).
    Can’t say. But since I wasn’t the only one who met that problem, let’s say I have not imagined it. ^^
