Today I found that our store lost the Google Top Quality Store status. I did a test order and found that the Google Customer Reviews Opt-in did not pop up when the Thank You Page loaded. I searched frantically for any issue. Using a staging install I found that if Site Kit was disabled, the Opt-in for store review would function normally. As soon as I enabled Site Kit it would quit popping up. Please help.

Thanks for reaching out @midpath. If you’d like to share your Site Health information, and a recording of what you should see regarding the pop up, I’d be happy to check this further and try to determine any conflict. You can use a service such as Loom to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.?

Note also that it may be worthwhile testing does the same occur if you manually place your Google Analytics snippet on your site, as opposed to using Site Kit. I say this as Site Kit places a Google Analytics snippet as recommended via Google Analytics. It’s possible you may encounter the same, and if so we can check for any multi party plugin conflicts, such as checking for any modifications with a caching or optimization plugin.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

A little update. I tried manually adding the Google Analytics snippet on the staging site and it allowed the Opt-in window to pop up.

Appreciate you sharing the recording. Very useful to see.

What I suspect may be happening, is a conflict with an optimiztion plugin, or maybe the admin toolbar, is impacting your opt-in popup window. To troubleshoot this further, please share the following:

    1. Does the same occur if you temporarily disable the Site Kit admin toolbar feature (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Display relevant page stats in the Admin bar)?
    2. Does the same occur if you temporary deactivate the Tag Manager and Google Anlaytics modules within site Kit? Feel free to check this individually, disconnecting the Analytics module first and checking, before checking Tag Manager also (Site Kit > Settings > <Analytics / Tag Manager> > Edit > Disconnect <Analytics/Tag Manager> from Site Kit).

If the same occurs in both scenarios above, please share any browser console errors that appear after checkout, from a Chrome browser incognito window. You can share these in the form of another recording if you wish, and share privately if preferred, using the same form previously used. We can then troubleshoot this further, identifying conflicts via the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin or by reviewing some site configurations.

Hi James. I think you are right about the Site Kit admin toolbar. First, I used incognito mode and the opt-in form worked. Then I disabled the Site Kit toolbar then tried again, and it worked! So it’s like that the toolbar is causing the issue.

Thanks for the update @midpath, appreciate you sharing your findings from this check. Rather than this being a conflict specifically with the Site Kit admin toolbar feature and your opt-in popup, I suspect this is a multi party conflict. To determine more, does the same occur in the following circumstances:

    1. If you deactivate the Asset CleanUp plugin
    2. If you deactive the Hummingbird plugin

Let me know how you get on with the above checked. I suggest the above checks as these plugins can merge all JavaScript on a page, including JavaScript coming from the admin toolbar. This may be impacting your opt-in popup.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Hi James, good news and bad news. On the staging site I’ve been testing using Hummingbird and Asset CleanUp. Somehow, after updating WordPress and WooCommerce to the latest versions, the Opt-in form showed up even with both plugins enabled. Those plugins haven’t had any updates recently.

The bad news is, I have WP Rocket on the live site. The Opt-in form is still not showing up. I don’t have Combine JavaScript files turned on. But at least now I know it’s only when admin bar is present that the issue happens.

Thanks for the update @midpath. On the live site, have you checked whether the same occurs if you temporarily deactivate WP Rocket? If not, we can then check for any particular configurations that may be resulting in this issue.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
