Conflicts with Double Opt-In Function on MailPoet

When “Enable signup confirmation” is enabled on MailPoet, and if you allow users to subscribe to a newsletter upon bbpress registration using this plugin, the system puts the newly registered user as “Subscribed” on the newsletter list, but the MailPoet plugin still sends a confirmation email to the newly registered user to confirm subscription to the newsletter list.
It does not make sense that you are “subscribed” and “unconfirmed” on a newsletter list simultaneously. If “Enable signup confirmation” is turned on, MailPoet should treat these users as “unconfirmed” instead of “subscribed” on the newsletter list, but the current product does not behave like that.
Can you please advise on this matter?
