Conflicts with ACF when editing a previously uploaded image
-
With Folders and Advanced Custom Fields both in use, the Folders UI conflicts with ACF’s UI when trying to edit the attributes of previously uploaded images.
Screenshot of Folders’ UI overlapping the UI provided by ACF to edit an uploaded image’s attributes.
I believe this is a bug in Folders because the UI for Folders should not be visible on this page! Attempting to browse the folders doesn’t do anything. Note that the intended use of this edit functionality in ACF is literally just to let the user modify attributes (title, alt text, description) – a user cannot upload new images from this view so Folders’ UI should not be there.
Steps to reproduce:
- Have this plugin and Advanced Custom Fields activated
- Create a new field group with an Image field in it (then assign it to a post/page so you can edit it with the WP post editor)
- Upload an image to the Image field that you made previously, save, and reload the page
- Edit the uploaded image’s details by hovering over it (pencil icon) – you will see Folders’ nonfunctional UI overlapping the ACF UI here
I hope this bug report is helpful but let me know if I can give you any more info. Thank you for Folders, it’s great! I just hope that this conflict with ACF can be resolved.
