    Good day,

I’ve noticed that Purge All from the WordPress plugin does not clear the cache from LS Enterprise, which I found in cPanel. Not too sure if I should be using the plugin or not. The following Litespeedtech Bug Report refers:

    https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/forum/threads/asynchronous-css-deferring-js-prevents-menu-dropdown-and-inserts-blank-spacing-into-recent-posts.18764/

Following on from my research and resolution, I have the following questions:

    1. Why doesn’t “Purge All” from the WordPress Plugin not purge the cache from LS Enterprise?
    2. Do I need Browser and Public caching enabled in the WordPress Plugin if the server appears to be doing it?
    3. Which option is faster – LS Enterprise or LS WordPress Plugin. Do I need the plugin at all?
    4. What conflicts exist / should I avoid between the LS WordPress plugin, and LS Enterprise Server?
    5. What are the optimal settings for LS Enterprise which I can configure via cPanel?
    6. What are the optimal settings for LS WordPress Plugin?

I note with interest (concern) that my Google Page Speed performance has not changed, now that LS is enabled and there are no conflicts.

    Any comments from Litespeedtech?

    Hi,

    1. if it doesn’t purge , that means either it is a bug , or bad configuration on somewhere

    2. Please never ever use server-side caching in that way (I assume you mean the public/private cache setting in Webadmin console —> Cache tab), it will mess things up with plugin , and plugin is preferred which provides more options , more features and more intelligent.

    3. you need them both , LiteSpeed Cache solution requires both server-side application (in this case , LiteSpeed Enterprise , OpenLiteSpeed , LiteSpeed ADC or QUIC cloud) and a control plugin (in this case , LiteSpeed Cache Plugin for WordPress)

    4. there should be no conflict at all , if you see one, there must be a bug or mis-configuration , it’s like wheel and steer , you will need them both to drive a car.

    5. You can’t configure server-side setting from cPanel as user level access, that requires root privileges

    6. There is no one-fit-for-all-optimal setting , it depends on each individual sites , some setting for me could be nice , but for others could break the site , so it’s really up to each site, same point stand for 5) if you have root access.

    7. from the link you provided , with and without LSCWP , result is quite different

Ok – thank you for all your help and assistance, I will continue to move forward as recommended, really appreciate your assistance.

My GT Metrix results are fantastic, so from a performance perspective regarding JS and CSS Optimisation and Caching, everything is spot on. It’s my Google Page Speed score that I need to work on, but I think that is more down to the Page Builder and Theme, which I will take up with them.

Thank you again for your guidance, appreciate having had my questions answered.
