    Hi there!

I’ve got a blog post which has a red status value for SEO value and readability on the blog post overview page.
However, if I open the article to edit it, both values are green light.

Which value is correct? What can I do to fix this issue?

    Regards

@stefandoebrich We understand you are experiencing an issue where the SEO color indicator on your posts overview does not match that when you go into the edit screen of the page.

If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider. We have information on how to clear your browser cache at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

If the issue still occurs after clearing your caches, can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v14.4.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. Hi, @devnihil,

    thanks for the quick reply.

The cache was my first idea … but sadly, no success. I also tried with Firefox and Edge, and both show the same results. I might add, that the SEO Widget also shows that one post with a red color.

I am using the most recent releases of Yoast and WordPress, so no updates are to be made here.

Can I provide you with more information on the topic?

    Thanks for your help

Quick update: noe the colors changed to yellow on the overview page, while they are still green on the edit page.

    Hello!
Can you please clear your cache, edit and update the post without changing anything, then clear your cache again? Let us know the result.

    Hello!
I did as you asked, and the result is just the same.

    Hi @stefandoebrich,

That’s odd. If it’s not cache related, we might think this can be a plugin conflict. Can you please try checking if the same issue persists when Yoast SEO is the online active plugin? You can do this using the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode. You can find more information on this here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

If it does persist when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin and you are using a default theme in the troubleshooting mode, can you please also check if you have any Javascript errors on the page overview page? You can find more information on checking for those here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

    Hi there,

    sorry for the late reply.

I checked with inactive plugins – same result.
I checked the web sonsole – no errors.

However, the issue with wrong SEO values on the overview page now occurs on more than just one blog post.

    Hi,

It may be an issue with Elegant Themes. We would like some more information.

    1. If you re-save the page in question does the issue resolve?

    2. If you check for JavaScript errors do any appear on that page in the backend AND the blog post overview page? Can you describe them or take a screenshot? If you are not sure how to look for JavaScript errors please use this guide https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

You can use a tool like: https://pasteboard.co/ to share the screenshot image.

    Hi,

no, resaving does not resolve the problem.

I just recognized, that when I open the page, the SEO value ist correct for a split second. Then, it flips from “ok” to “good”. So, on the edit page it then shows 2x”good”, while on the overview page it shows “ok” and “good”.

    Hi,

We think this is likely related to Elegant Themes. Are you able to check for those JavaScript errors please and either share a screenshot of them or describe what is outputted?
