Conflict with Yoast when enabling Rich Pins for products

    I am using the Yoast SEO plugin to create og meta tags and I want to use these tags to get Rich Pins for products.

    However, if I enable “Add Rich Pins for Products” in the Woocommerce Pinterest plugin then I get duplicate og tags with the Woocommerce Pinterest plugin og meta tags overriding the Yoast tags, which I don’t want. I want to be able to input my own og short description, images and product titles using the Yoast plugin.

    So my question is, how do I remove the tag <meta name=”pinterest-rich-pin” content=”false”> from each product without enabling the “Add Rich Pins for Products” in the Pinterest plugin?

    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing that report with us! To remove that without enabling the “Add Rich Pins for Products” option, it will need customization. Have you been in touch with Yoast support to check if they have any workaround for this?

    I enabled Rich Pins using the plugin, then commmented out the duplicate og meta tags from the plugin by editing the file SRC > RichPins.php

    According to this article https://help.pinterest.com/en-gb/business/article/rich-pins my source code should now be eligible for Rich Pins. I will wait 48-72 hours to see if Rich Pins are now enabled
