Conflict with Yoast SEO sitemap feature

I am using Yoast SEO plugin and I am using its sitemap feature. I have noticed that an extra empty line is present in xml sitemap which causes following error when I try to open sitemap xml file:
error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
When I disable ithemes security plugin, issue disappears. It looks like ithemes security plugin is adding extra whitespace which is causing this issue.
