In staging site JetPacks’s Publicize module can connect to the social networks.
On my production environment when trying to connect to a social any network I get error code -32601

Can you please work with WP Engine to resolve this? They say caching is turned off for my WP Backend but the problem only appears on the production side. The moment I clone the site with all active plugins and themes to staging the module works and I do not get the error.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Did that.

But my host found a solution. Something with opening up port 443 I believe. Placed a line in wp-config and this fixed it.

Anyway I needed Publicize to work with custom posts (events) which JetPack publicize does not so I uninstalled it.

I’m glad to hear you could figure this out!

You should be able to do that with Jetpack. You can follow the instructions here to do so:
